Clean and Simple Cards 2 Day 10

Day 10  Card 1
I used the mouse stamp for this one.  I added the clover and used 3D to adhere to card.  I stamped the sentiment and filled in with a gold marker and a red marker.  I then added Dazzels along the left hand side.

Day 10 Card 2
I used the same mouse stamp for this card.  I used markers and colored pencils and I added flocking on the mice.  Same stamp, a little different look.

Day 10 Card 3
I used the same stamp in the same way, but tried to get 3 different looks.  I used cloud paper as the bkgd and added sandpaper.  I stamped and cut out a shell border and used my Cricut to cut the umbrella.  Last thing I did was to add a cloud sentiment.

Clean and Simple Cards 2 Day 9 Card 1

Day 9 Card 1

I copied Jennifer's card as closely as I could to try it out.  I used black paper.  I didn't have an arrow, but I saw one on the mini Peanut Butter Cup bag I had....whatever works!

Clean and Simple Cards 2 Day 8 Card 1

Day 8 Card 1

I had to use the back of a border stamp and some Distress Inks.  The Distress Inks didn't stamp as solid as I would have liked, but I still like the look and idea of a plaid.  It was fun to try out.

Clean and Simple Cards 2 Day 7 Card 1

Day 7 Card 1

I cut out a circle to use the outside for my mask.
Then I stamped and masked off the ball and T.  Next I used a border stamp with different colors to stamp over the image.  I added stitch lines around the circle and then the greeting.

Clean and Simple Cards 2 Day 6 Card 1

Day 6 Card 1
When I first did this card I stamped the chair on white, masked off the pillows and doilies, but when I added the color to the chair it went through to everything else.

So I stamped the chair on the blue and then on white.  I fussy cut the white items and added them and I cut the blue paper on the top and bottom with the trimmer, as Jennifer showed us, and cut around part of the chair.

Clean and Simple Cards 2 Bonus Day Card 1

Bonus Day Card 1
I don't have many dies yet, as I just started using them.  I love this lacy oval and I saw this finger dauber idea somewhere on the net.  I stamped flowers inside the oval to add some dimension and then added the sentiment.  I then added the black bkgd to my card base.

clean and Simple Cards 2 Day 5 Card 3

Day 5 Card 3
I white embossed the flowers and then used Distress Inks, crushed olive and  evergreen bough, to color in the background.  I added pearls to the flower centers and added a sentiment.  I mounted this to a black base.

Clean and Simple Cards 2 Day 5 Card 2

Cay 5 Card 2
The thing I like best about this card is the dark colors on the two flowers, using the kraft paper as a base card.  I used white embossing for the flowers and added a tie and tag as Julie did.  Think I'd make the tag smaller another time.

Clean and Simple Cards 2 Day 5 Card 1

Day 5 Card 1
I used a Hero Arts stamp for the flowers.  I used markers to color them and also used glossy accents and stickles.  I added a soft shadow around all with a light grey pencil.  Lastly, I added the sentiment.

Clean and Simple Cards 2 Day 4 Card 3

Day 4 Card 3
I left "white space",  used Jennifer's bows idea, and added a splash of color to make this friendship card.

Clean and Simple Cards 2 Day 4 Card 2

Day 4 Card 2
I dry embossed the bottom of the card, even though I didn't have anything I felt was "blackboard" appropriate.  My white embossing cracked.  I might need a different white or a new versa mark.  I do like the idea of the blackboard idea.  I'm going to try another one and see if it will be better.

Clean and Simple Cards 2 Day 4 Card 1

Day 4 Card 1
I loved Julie's Dogwood card and I have that stamp so I used that to try the watercoloring.  I used Distress Ink picked raspberry.  I watched the flowers come to life as I used the water brush.  It was exciting to see it happen.  I added a few splatters and my greeting.  I tried (on a trial sheet) to add sparkle to the centers but, as much as I love bling, I didn't like the look as much.  Thank you, Julie for this watercoloring idea.

Clean and Simple 2 Day 3 Card1

Day 3 Card 1
I tried the changing of colors similar to Jennifer's card.  I tried this several times.  There's a reason why she does what she does and I'm still "practicing".  This was a lot more difficult than it looks when she is doing it.  I added a 3D bunny and chick instead of a bow to this one.  I'm going to keep working at this technique until I get a lot better at it.  I'm having fun trying these different ideas though.

Clean and Simple 2 Day 2 Card 3

Day 3 Card 3
I used watercolors to color in the greeting and a water brush to blend.  I stamped a few candles, colored them and added Glossy Accents to them.  This is a little too clean and simple for me.  I'm still thinking about this one....but I like the rainbow effect.

Clean and Simple 2 Day 2 Card 2

Day 2 Card 2

I masked off the chicks ( better luck this time) and stamped the basket.  I used markers to color everything.  Then I stamped grass and used green Stickles over the blades.  Last of all I stamped the sentiment.

Clean and Simple 2 Day 2 Card 1

Day 2 Card 1
Julie taught us about masking off and not leaving a halo.  I have no halo on 3 out of the 5 snowmen.  I'm getting there!    I masked off the snowmen and stamped the trees.  The further trees I first stamped on scrap paper and then on my card to make the trees look further back.  The last thing I did was to use Distress Ink to lightly color in the sky.

Clean and Simple 2 Day 1 Card 2

Day 1 Card 2
I used Julie's card as my inspiration for this one.  I see what they mean about perfection--I didn't get perfect circles with my glitter and it shows.  I do like the black and white and will use this for a man's birthday card, my most difficult ones to make.

Clean and Simple 2 Day 1 Card 3

Day 1 Card 3
For this card I used Jennifer's Talk Bubble Card as my inspiration.  I had fun making and masking off for the balloon.  When I finished I thought it was a little too plain  so I cut off 1/2" on the right front and added a punched trim.  The first card I did I used white embossing for the sayings, but I didn't think they showed up enough so I made another card and stamped this one directly on with black.

Clean & Simple 2 Day 1 Card 1

Day 1  Card 1    I used Kristina's first card as my inspiration for this "thinking of you" card.
I followed her directions to while making this entire front.
